The Cochrane Lions Club Rodeo Event is an annual celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the Cochrane community, featuring a traditional rodeo showcasing various exciting events. Established by the Cochrane Lions Club, this event brings together residents and visitors alike for a weekend of entertainment, camaraderie, and fundraising for community projects.
The Cochrane Lions Rodeo began in September 1968 at Lions Rodeo Park, with Lion Bert Powlesland as President. The first event featured Lion Ed Daeons roasting beef on a large BBQ, serving Beef-On-A-Bun to a large crowd. The 15-acre site along 5th Avenue West in Cochrane remains the location of the rodeo today.

Due to AGLC law and to protect the safety of livestock we do not permit pets at the rodeo.
There is parking available at Lions Rodeo Park for visitors. It is advisable to arrive early to secure a parking spot.
There is handicap parking reserved in the parking lot of the lions event centre on a first come first served basis.
Please note: The seating for this event is integrated into a hillside and there is some uneven terrain.
