On Friday night, the Ranch Rodeo takes centre stage at the Cochrane Lions Rodeo grounds. The free-admission event, courtesy of Slimdor, features competitions based on actual ranching activities like cattle wrestling and sorting and penning, taking you back in time to see where today’s rodeo originated. These are skills used today to manage their animals and homesteads.
